Our Story
Miles Jr! was started in 2005, and officially registered with the sate of Colorado in 2011. It was born out of an enjoyment for sewing, and a deep love for a dog named Miles. What started with collar bandanas, soon grew into a variety of accessories. Initially these items were made for Miles, but it wasn’t long before people inquired about where they could purchase these items for their own pets. For the last 18 years, I have been sewing accessories for Colorado pets. Until now, purchases have only been available through local businesses or referrals. The demand, however, has outgrown these avenues so milesjr.com was created. Now pets everywhere can get their paws on our accessories.
Every Miles Jr! product is made with as much love, care, and precision as if they were made for Miles himself. I am always brainstorming new ideas, and improvements for our products. I make everything by hand, which provides an opportunity to design and create a unique product a particular pet may be seeking. Miles’ Mom lives with her family in Colorado. She has loved animals her entire life and has made them a priority in everything she does. She began sewing dog clothing and accessories when she was just 12 years old. She has worked for many years in veterinary hospitals, spay/neuter programs, animal rescues, and local shelters. Her passions are science, animal health, behavior, training, reading, and sewing. She works full-time, as a Biologist, in the field of Veterinary Science and creates Miles Jr! products in her free time.
